| Dear Bilal: would you mind telling me that what is the use of knowing such meaningless Hadith which is good for nothing??
when we know that "not a single word of any hadees can be guaranteed that it belogned to Muhammad (S), why should we waste our time by knowing such fruitless things. or if you want people who believe in hadees to be nocked down, it is very easy.... you must know about "muhaddeseen" their historical back ground whih can easily prove them to be worng.
IMAM BUKHARI: He was born in Bukhari in hijra 256 and some believe the date to be hijra 260 but we all know that he died in Samarkand. It is said that after wandering through different cities and villages he collected close to six hundred thousand hadiths and after sifting through he found 7,300 ahadith that he considered close to being authentic. Some have been repeated in various chapters. If we do not count the repetitions, the total figures we get are 2,630 or 2,762.
IMAM MUSLIM: Muslim bin Hajaj belonged to a city in Iran called Nishapur. He was born in hijra 204 and died in hijra 261.
TRIMZI: Imam Abu Isa Muhammad Trimzi was from the city called Trimz in Iran. He was born in hijra 209 and died in hijra 279.
ABU DAWOOD: He comes from Seestan in Iran. He was born in hijra 202 and died in hijra 275.
IBNE MAJA: Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Zaid ibne Maja came from northern Iran, a city that goes by the name of Kazdin. His year of birth is hijra 209 and he died in hijra 273.
IMAM NISAAYEE: Imam Abdur Rahman Nisaayee came from a city called Nisa in Iran's eastern province of Khorasan. He died in hijra 303.
After a brief introduction one can easily infer that
(a) they all came from Iran.
(b) None of these scholars was from Arab descent. We also notice that none of the Arabs were prepared to do what these scholars have done.
(c) All of them were born in the third century.
(d) Whatever ahadith were collected, were all hearsay,
(e) there were no written records of hadith before their collections
It would not be futile to know the number of ahadith that have been discredited.
Ahadith Compiler Found Ahadith Selected Ahadith for the book
Imam Bukhari 600,000 2,762 (after repetitions)
Imam Muslim 300,000 4,348
Imam Trimzi 300,000 3,115
Imam Abu Dawood 500,000 4,800
Imam Ibn Maja 400,000 4,000
Imam Nisai 200,000 4,321
What comes to mind again, after the sifting was done by the authors of hadith, who can say for sure the authors did not relegate the actual sayings or parables of the Messenger. Many of those ahadith that these authors have included in their collection, also go against the Messenger....

| The story related to Mr Zaid is from Ahadees .It has no authenticity from Quran. It is against nature and all human values. How a man can marry his daughter-in-law even if she is wife of an adopted son. An adopted child is no less than a begotten son or a daughter. Imagine a man marrying his adopted daughter. What a filthy idea. It is all because of story tellers i.e. Mohaddiseen محد ثین.
To understand the verses from 37 to 43, we have to consider the basic subject of the sura and the topics discussed. Lets take the sura from the beginning
The orthodox explanation relates it to the adopted sons .but the logic behind the above orders is supported by the stories of Noh Ibraheem Musa and Eesa ( Jesus )
7. and (remember) when we took from the Prophets their covenant, and from You (O Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam), and from Nûh (Noah), Ibrâhim (Abraham), Mûsa (Moses), and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). we took from them a strong Covenant. ( orthodox translation .)
The beginning of the verse is وَإِذْ . This word is used when some logic or reason is given in support of previous statements ,That is the reason why the orthodox translater also adds words like remember etc .
Now consider verse 7
Why the stories of Noh Ibraheem Musa and Eesa are narrated here in support of verses 1 to 6 .Did they also face the problem of adoption .Nowhere in Quran such a problem is described in the stories of these prophets .
Now consider verse 9 . It is telling totally a different story ,the beginning of the verse is
9. O You who believe! Remember Allâh's Favour to you, when there came against You hosts, and we sent against them a wind and forces that You saw not [i.e. troops of angels during the battle of AlAhzâb (the Confederates). and Allâh is ever AllSeer of what You do.
In this verse also a word is used اذکروا which is translated again remember . Now the question arises what to remember and why to remember .
Answer to What to remember is very strange . It is about the help with an army against the invaders .
The answer is totally unrelated to the situation of adopted children .
Now to answer “ Why “, there seems no reason to remember .
THE RESULT
These verses are not in relation to adoption of children .
Verses from 10 to 27 , are about some revolt which is the topic of this sura .that’s why stories of Noh Ibraheem Musa and Eesa . are
narrated to substantiate the topic .Now if you go back to verse
8. so that He may ask the truthful people about their Truth . and He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful wrath .
Now you can see for yourself that in previous verses also there is no discussion about any adopted child ,
As we have seen the word زوج means the people of the same group or groups . Let me put my understanding of verse no 4
4. Allâh has not put for any man two hearts inside his body . And He has not made those groups over whom you overpowered to be like Your' contemporaries, nor has He made Your so called followers as Your real followers. that is what you say from your mouths. but Allâh says the truth, and He guides to the Right path.
There are certain words to be explained
أَزْوَاجَكُمُ : the word زوج has been discussed so many times in pages of the Blog For the newcomers the verses 7 to 10 are quoted
7. and You (all) will be In three kinds (i.e. separate groups).
Look , even orthodox translation is translating زوج as groups
8. so those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their records In their Right hands), who will be those on the Right hand? (as a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise).
9. and those on the left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their record In their left hands), who will be those on the left hand? (as a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell).
10. and those foremost [(in Islâmic faith of Monotheism and In performing righteous deeds) In the life of This world on the very first call for to embrace Islâm,] will be foremost (in Paradise).
تُظَاهِرُونَ means to overpower someone ,to take someone in your control .e.g. verse 85 of sura 2
85. after this, it is You who kill one another and drive out a party of You from their homes, assist (their enemies) against them, In sin and transgression. and if they come to You as captives, You ransom them, although their expulsion was forbidden to you. Then do You believe In a part of the Scripture and reject the rest? Then what is the Recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace In the life of This world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the Most grievous torment. and Allâh is not unaware of what You do.
The meaning of ظھار is assisting enemy . If علی is used it means against as in this verse ,but if من is used then it will mean from but with the same meanings .
أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ The basic meaning of ام is main , to lead , e.g
ام الکتاب the basic and most important book
ام القرا the capital of all cities .
امھات is plural of ام so امھاتکم means your basics . if it is in reference to mother it will mean your mothers ,
But if it is in reference to principles then it will mean your basic principles .
أَدْعِيَاءَكُمْ the basic letters for ادعیآکم is دع و which means call ,invitation . أَدْعِيَاءَكُمْ yours called ones . as the adopted child is a son because he is so called hence دْعِيَاءَكُمْ is used for an adopted son . But if the context is different as you can see in these verses then it will have the meanings accordingly
.
Here the topic is calling those group of people who were overpowered by Momineens as their closed allies and considering them as one of the group of Momineens . So it is being adviced that these newly inducted group of people are called ادعیا کم .they are not basic or main stream group of people so that you can depend on them .
This word has already been discussed and it means the
young generation of persons who are in reality the backbone of a nation .
This word has been used very commonly for forefathers and اصلا ف (religious leaders )
…………………………………………………………………….
As far as the story of Mr Zaid is concerned it is Fake and it was concocted to disgrace our beloved prophet
This subject will be continued but please do give your comments both in favour and against but with substancial support from Quran .

| Story of Mr Zaid Part I I
Although the question was about Mr Zaid but to understand the whole thing, one has to consider the complete sura. As you have seen the Sura is about those group of people who were overpowered whether to consider them as part of Momineens or to test them for a while and when it is proved that the nation can depend upon them then they are to be considered as sons of the nation.
Logical proofs are given in verse 7 & 8 quoting examples from Noh, Ibraheem, Musa and Eesa in support of the above mentioned strategy.
7. and remember when we took from the Prophets their covenant, i.e. from You and from Nûh (Noah), Ibrâhim (Abraham), Mûsa (Moses), and Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam. We took from them a strong Covenant.
8. that He may ask the truthful about their Truth and He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment.
These two verses are describing that a covenant was taken from the above mentioned prophets, and the purpose was to see the truthfulness of those who claimed to be truthful.
From verse 9 to 27 there is a description of a clash. After this verse the Mufassireen have once again tried to char the face of Prophets family by saying that it is for the wives of prophet. It is categorically not for the prophets wives but about those groups who were close to prophet but had a
different view about some decision taken. In prophets view the difference was inferior and substandard,
28. O Prophet (Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam)! Say to Your wives: if You desire the life of This world, and its glitter, Then come! I will make a provision for You and set You free In a handsome manner (divorce).
29. But if You desire Allâh and his Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter, Then Verily, Allâh has prepared for Al-¬Muhsinât (good doers) amongst You an enormous reward.
30. O wives of the Prophet! whoever of You commits an open illegal sexual intercourse, the torment for her will be doubled, and that is ever easy for Allâh.
31. and Whosoever of You is obedient to Allâh and his Messenger Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam, and does righteous good deeds, we shall give her, her reward twice over, and we have prepared for her Rizqan Karima (a Noble provision Paradise).
32. O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If You keep Your duty (to Allâh), Then be not soft In speech, lest He In whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak In an honourable manner.
33. and stay In Your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salât (Iqamât¬as¬Salât), and give Zakât and obey Allâh and his Messenger. Allâh wishes Only to remove Ar¬Rijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam), and to purify You with a thorough purification.
34. and Remember (O You the members of the Prophet's family, the graces of Your Lord), that which is recited In Your houses of the Verses of Allâh and Al¬Hikmah (i.e. Prophet's Sunnah legal ways, etc. so give Your thanks to Allâh and glorify his praises for This Qur'an and the Sunnah). Verily, Allâh is ever Most Courteous, Well¬Acquainted with All things.
Now see by changing the meaning of just one word زوج. Instead of translating wife we have translated it as group (considering verses 7 to 10 of Sura 56.) and نساء as weaker group of people. The whole filthy concept of prophets wives doing something فحش is gone.
28. O Prophet Say to Your people : if You desire the life of This world, and its glitter, Then come! I will make a provision for You and set You free In a handsome manner.
29. but if You desire Allâh and his Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter, Then Verily, Allâh has prepared for good doers amongst You an enormous reward.
30. O people of the Prophet! whoever of You acts against Divine orders, the torment will be doubled, and that is ever easy for Allâh.
31. and Whosoever of You is obedient to Allâh and his Messenger and does righteous good deeds, we shall give him his reward twice over, and we have prepared for him a generous recompense.
32. O people of the Prophet! You are not like others. If You keep Your duty, Then be not soft In speech, lest the one in whose heart is a disease may move with desire, but speak In an honorable manner.
33. and keep grace ( وقار ) in your institutions, and do not behave like that of the times of ignorance, implement the divine values and take responsibility for the welfare of the state and obey Allâh and his Messenger. Allâh wishes Only to remove evil deeds and sins from you, the members of the Prophet’s people), and to purify you with a thorough purification.
34. and Remember that which is told in your institutions from the divine orders and its purpose. Verily, Allâh is ever most courteous, well acquainted with All things.
In the next verse no 35 the qualities of the people of Mohammad are described:
35. for Muslim men and women - for Momin men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give In charity, for men and women who stop from doing bad, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage in remembrance of Allahs commands,- for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and great reward.

| Dear Dr. Sahib,
Very revealing indeed. It's a metamorphosis. Very inspiring no doubt. It's fully in keeping with the high status of Quran as a universal guidance for ever.

| Story of Mr Zaid Part I I I
As far as the story of Mr Zaid is concerned it is Fake and it was concocted to disgrace our beloved Prophet.
36. it is not possible for a Momin or a Mominah when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, He is indeed clearly on a wrong path.
The next verse is starting with a word which is used to substantiate a claim, and the word is واذ which is usually translated as remember, recall etc.
Let me put the usual translation and later comments and questions.
The bold words in italics are the translator’s own words shown as part of Quran, because without them the interpretation of the translator will not complete.
37. and remember when You said to Him (Zaid bin Hârithah the freedslave of the Prophet Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam) on whom Allâh has bestowed Grace (by guiding Him to Islâm) and You (O Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam too) have done Favour (by manumitting Him) "Keep Your wife to yourself, and fear Allâh." but You did hide In yourself (i.e. what Allâh has already made known to You that He will give her to You In marriage) that which Allâh will make manifest, You did fear the people (i.e., Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam married the divorced wife of his manumitted slave) whereas Allâh had a better Right that You should fear Him. so when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her (i.e. divorced her) , we gave her to You In marriage, so that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the believers In respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (i.e. they have divorced them) and Allâh's command must be fulfilled.
Look at the above passage of translation. All that which is in bold letters and italics are the words and interpretations of the translators derived from concocted stories what we get out of this translation is,
1…. There was a person on whom not only God bestowed his blessings but prophet also favored him
2…. Prophet said to him to keep his wife and be God fearing.
3…. Prophet was hiding in himself the wish which Allah had already made known to him that that man’s wife will be given in his marriage
4…. Prophet was afraid of the people that he married the daughter-in-law (wife of the adopted son.
5…. So when Mr Zaid, the adopted son, divorced his wife the prophet married her.
6…. This was all planned by the almighty all time justice the God. So that in Future there remains no hurdle for the momineens to marry wives of their adopted sons.
Look what we are told that prophet wanted to marry Mr Zaid’s wife but he was afraid of the people to disclose it hence he kept it secret and when Mr Zaid divorced his wife the prophet married her.
No Sir ……, Never, Our Prophet did not do that.
Now let us see the verses and its actual translation.
37. and remember when You said to the person on whom Allâh had bestowed his blessings and You also did Favour him.
Keep Your company of people with yourself, and fear Allâh. but You were hiding within yourself which Allâh wanted to disclose, You did fear the people whereas Allâh had a better Right that You should fear Him.
Note that it was the advice given by the Prophet to the person who was incharge of some company of people for which he was afraid to disclose. It was not the prophet who was afraid of people.
. So when Zaid had accomplished his requirement from the company, we gave that company of people to you in your company, so that there may be no restrain to the Momineens concerning those people.
ادعیاءکم as explained before were those people who had joined the Momineens recently but had not gone through the test. So to give them responsibility as a member of the community was not advisable. But after the test they were allowed to join the streamline force of Momineens.
Summary of the verse
Sura 33 is about those people who have recently joined the Muslim community, they have not gone the test to testify their loyalty, so they are being tested before they can be given some responsibility.
The basic root letters of زید is ز ی د which means to increase. The basic word زید if taken as noun will mean some persons name, otherwise the basic meanings will be increase, augment, multiply, surpass, overwhelming, more etc.
The above translation is done keeping in view the word زید as a proper noun i.e. name of a person, but if you keep the basic meanings of the root letters then it will be, when the need to increase was accomplished from those newly joined people, we gave that group of people to you in your control. This was practiced so that there may not be any restrain to other Momineens concerning their people And Allah’s command has to be fulfilled.
The next verse makes even more clear that it was not the matter of marrying an adopted son’s wife, see for yourself,
38. there is no restrain for the Prophet In that which Allâh has made legal for him. This has been Allâh's Way with those people who have passed before and the command of Allâh is a decree determined.
This command is سنّۃ اللہ i.e. it is the rule, it is repeatedly practiced, it does not change and it was practiced by the people of the past.
If it was concerning marriage with the wives of adopted son then there should not have been any doubt in the minds of the people because the practice of marrying adopted sons wife must have been a common practice.
No Sir, the verse is not about marrying the wife of adopted son. It is about deciding to give responsibility to newly admitted people to the community without testing.
See the next verse which makes the matter even more clear.
39. those who convey the message of Allâh and fear him, and fear none save Allâh and Allâh is sufficient to take people to account.
This concludes the story of Mr Zaid or the need to augment the people on whom the state can depend after testing. | |

| Thank you very much Dr. Qamar zaman sahib, may Allah bless you with more wisdum. The story of Zaid as a proper noun is finished at all.If proper noun is taken then some one will try to find out Mr zaid in history. In fact "that it is about the need to increase was accomplished from those newly joined people" seems much reasonable. | |
| Dear Moazzam, Do you think Zaid is common noun?
Dr. Qamar zaman wrote: " So when Zaid had accomplished his requirement from the company, we gave that company of people to you in your company, so that there may be no restrain to the Momineens concerning those people. "
